Forecast 1/15
Make this a day of accomplishments, whether baking a cake, making a pitch, writing a memoir, calling your mother or making headway on a project.

Tempers might be hot pretty early in the morning, but you can channel this into constructive action. If you do get angry (or encounter someone who is) see where it wants to take you and get there with as few causalities as possible.

If you feel you have to make a choice between the practical and the dream, see if you can make the dream practical. There is a strong vein of support available for those willing to meet their emotional strength.

The Cancer Full Moon occurs at 11:52 p.m. ET and the odds indicate a beautiful night. It is VOC/void-of-course* after that.

morisot_cancer full moonThe Sabian symbol** for the Cancer Moon is: “Contentment and happiness in luxury, people reading on davenports”. This image conjures blissful relaxation, when someone is able to sink into comfortable seating and simply read.

Yet it’s not a hedonistic luxury, but one that allows enrichment through the written word.

The phrase sparkles with the pleasure of deserving life’s gifts, but at the same time there is an awareness happening, because reading does inform and enlighten (or rather it can).

In contrast, the Sabian symbol** for the Capricorn Sun is: “A water sprite”. This playful and magical image seems at odds with the sign of Capricorn, which is usually occupied with the practical. It seems more likely that it refers to the fern that is used in aquariums, but coupled with the prior symbol, there is an edge to it.

Ernst_Josephson-NäckenThe mythology of a water sprite is often a capricious and even dangerous creature to the unsuspecting sailor or traveler. Anyone who loves water knows that there is a responsibility connected to its enjoyment; learning to swim and be cautious are keys to survival.

Both symbols therefore do suggest a warning, in spite of their casual phrasing. One does not want to lounge and read one’s life away, nor be led astray by a beguiling sprite.

It is through taking responsibility that the glory of the Full Moon shines on your goals. Take appropriate rest and look for magic, but read the fine print.

*Moon VOC/Void-of- Course… in Cancer, be by the water, time with family or sifting through memorabilia. May be a lovely time to enjoy a picnic or meal with no time constraints
** We are still in the process of understanding the Sabian symbols, which were channeled in 1925. The spiritualist astrologer Marc Edmund Jones, took Elsie Wheeler, a clairvoyant confined to a wheelchair to a San Diego park with a project. He put a symbol for each of the 360° of the zodiacal wheel on 360 cards. She proceeded to come up with visual phrases for each one of them. They were done in random order and they have a magic that is hard to decipher, yet feels totally right.
