When the Cancer Sun lights the Moon, our home life steps up to light the course of our emotional needs for success. We have the opportunity to look at our professional life and see if there is balance with the private home world that is so important for overall health. This might manifest when a hard-working businessperson is able to enjoy the fruits of his/her labors, with family time and/or enjoying home.
The trigger from the Cancer Sun is to protect and nurture the dream and the physical sense of what is held dear. The Capricorn Moon strives to feel fulfilled on the chosen path; is one in line with the integrity of planned achievement?
Because of the position of Mars in this particular Full Moon configuration, you may feel a burst of energy to complete or move in a certain direction. There’s no sloppy delivery however, so don’t even think about cutting corners.
There is a great deal of volatility mixed with resistance and a vying for power today. As a result, stuff can explode: tempers, chemicals and anything under great stress. Pay attention when driving, working with heavy machinery or sharp objects. Distractions lead to accidents. Keep present.
The Sabian Symbol** for this Sun is: “A prima donna singing”. This image keys in nicely with the message of the Full Moon, because it shows the excellence that comes from focused practice. The prima donna is the centerpiece performer, the heart of the production. Whether she’s a lovely person or a screaming diva, her place is assured. Ideally, she receives her due through her performing and is satisfied that her value is appreciated. She must nurture her voice to continue in her role.
This symbol reminds us that our creative urge must be stroked and encouraged to express itself. Without your creative heart, full self-expression is truncated at best. If you cannot get that kind of fulfillment in your work, there are other avenues that would benefit from your self-expression.
The Sabian Symbol** for the Moon is: “A relay race”. This symbol further supports the movement towards achievement of the heart’s desire. The reminder of a relay race, is that it is a team effort. The support of the family (or friends) is what buoys you up when the goal seems distant. Knowing you can reach for relief when you need a break is so essential for the long-run.
True success is a marathon, not a sprint and the Capricorn Full Moon suggests the ultimate goal of a marathon. There may be small achievements within the big vision, but now is a time to evaluate where you’re at in the journey and how you continue to climb.
