The Capricorn Full Moon shines over today.

A Mercury/Saturn picture in the sky supports any message that has to be delivered, regardless of the impact.

This may require a step up to responsibility. An unexpected occurrence may change plans; how much they change has everything to do with how people react.

If you stay on track or can adapt, a great deal is accomplished. The Capricorn Full Moon occurs at 6:56 PM ET after which the moon goes void-of -course/VOC*.

Enjoy an evening of contemplation; reflect on where you are at with the balance of family and work life. If one area or the other would benefit from more consideration, what would you change?

You don’t have to solve how, just observe what you desire. If however you feel totally at peace on the balance beam, then appreciate the beauty of that.

Shoshoni_tipis_The Sabian Symbol for this degree of the Cancer Sun is “An Indian Girl Introduces Her White Lover To Her Assembled Tribe”.

This is an incredibly powerful symbol, especially at this time when all around the world we see divisions caused by “us against them”.

To narrow the focus to the USA, this Full Moon occurs at the degree of Pluto in the nation’s July 4th, 1776 horoscope.

Pluto represents among other things, the Shadow. Arguably, the greatest stain on the USA inception is its denial of the rights of certain people, while crafting an ideal of equality and respect.

In this Sabian Symbol, the lover is introduced, thus spreading the seed of what inevitably destroys. Yet is is not the intention of a “lover” to destroy. The lover’s intention may have been with open heart and a desire to be accepted by the tribe.

True communication begins one-on-one. When the ability to forge relationships is destroyed or not sanctioned, than policies are made that have nothing to do with deep connection. The Full Moon promotes integration and balance.

The penalty of a government that values one way of life over another is to shortchange its power. Decisions made when the Europeans came to the Americas were to suppress and conquer, not to learn and integrate.

This legacy and genocide has led to destruction of resources. No US President has ever made a formal statement of atonement for the destruction of tribal cultures and lives of the indigenous nations.

Since the Sun lights the Moon when it’s Full, we have the opportunity to be enlightened. We may see more dialogue about the need to reconcile the heart of a people with the face of a nation, and not just in the USA.

For an individual, what specific emotional need can be integrated in your work life?

aviaryThis Capricorn Moon’s Sabian Symbol is “A Large Aviary”. An aviary is an environment to house birds and when successfully executed they can fly with some comfort.

Nonetheless, it is a structure to confine and therefor a cage.

The birds have a job (Capricorn) that goes beyond their instinctual survival; they are in an aviary for human enjoyment or study.

In the first symbol, we see how the girl and her lover are in a prison of societal separation. They come to the tribe to broker acceptance. Even though they seem to approach the tribe willingly, they are subject for inspection like caged birds.

Each symbol evokes a desire to spread wings, yet each is limited in expression. This speaks of the balance between achievement/career with emotional security.

The evening begs for dinner at home and/or in the company of your dear ones. The Moon enters Aquarius at 11:10 PM ET at which time the internet or electronics can distract. Be proactive and shut it down until morning.

*Moon VOC/Void-of-Course… in Capricorn, organizing and filing is like a well-oiled clock. Goals are on the mind, but when the list is too long, achievement is slight. Make a list and put it away to prioritize another day. You might also like to garden or finish up any loose end from work. More about the Moon VOC
