Forecast 6/26

The moon is void-of-course/voc* at 7:56 a.m. ET. This long “void” period is also the Dark of Moon, a.k.a. Balsamic Moon, the time before the New Moon.

We are in a psychic “way station”; a place to rest before we begin our next lunar cycle. This is not to say that nothing happens at this time, but what does happen is subtle and inchoate. It’s best to save the seed-planting for tomorrow.

You can gather your thoughts and discard anything that has outworn its use. That’s why this is a perfect time to clear your desk, car or closet. As you move through the decision-making process of purging or organizing, there is a fluidity to the task because energetically you feel the need to release. On the other hand, you might want to play today and enjoy idle conversation.

Just don’t put too much stock on any promises, because they are made at a time without the emotional glue to make them stick.

The Moon enters Cancer at 5:05 p.m. ET. We are now in the juices of the coming New Moon, although still not in her kickstart power. This is a night of whispers, Hecate’s time, so take note of memories that arise. They come up on their way out or they come up to remind you of something to keep in mind as you move forward. Here read an archived post about this Dark of Moon period.

This evening is well-spent in cosy conversation with yourself and loved ones. A sustaining meal and time by the water or at home replenishes the spirit.

You might want to do your New Moon ritual tonight since it occurs pre-dawn. However, acknowledgment of the new beginning works well within the 24 hour period, so sweet dreams and may they provide you with inspiration.

Please join me on Friday June 27 if you can get to Wainwright House in Rye, for my New Moon Gathering.

*Moon VOC/Void-of-Course… in Gemini, conversations can be particularly misunderstood; avoid important correspondence or phone calls. Gather information. Listen. Great time to clean out old emails and tidy up your desktop.
