Grand Central Terminal, often incorrectly called Grand Central Station, or shortened to simply Grand Central is a terminal station at 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. It was built by and named for the New York Central Railroad. It is the largest train station in the world by number of platforms 44.
Outside the station, the clock in front of the Grand Central facade facing 42nd Street contains the worlds largest example of Tiffany glass and is surrounded by sculptures of Minerva, Hercules and Mercury.
