Mercury Station Direct- The Trickster planet seems to hold still in the sky on July 1 before it proceeds to move forward (from our perspective). This phenomenon seems to coincide with some bumps in the road as we adapt to the change. When you think of Trickster energy, think of humor, slight of hand, mixed signals and short circuits. Curiosity is the antidote; don’t let any detour stop you from seeing where it leads.

The Capricorn Full Moon occurs on July 12 at 7:25 a.m. ET
Jupiter enters Leo on July 16 (through August 2015). This increases many people’s desire to have fun and romance. You may feel inclined to take a gamble during this time, although it’s always best to have your eyes open when doing so. This may be particularly compelling for fire signs: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

Saturn is retrograde through July 20. When the planet that signifies responsibility, discipline, boundaries and limitation goes retrograde, we need to reassess these themes. If you take on more than you are able to handle, expect a backslide. It is advisable to only agree to tasks you know you can accomplish because overextension cheats the whole picture. It is better instead to reign in your goals to achievable. The next several months support the ability to put strategies in place that maintain for the long run. Depending on your business, this may or may not be a time to initiate. Shortcuts are not recommended. Saturn in Scorpio demands a laser-like delving into finances, especially those shared with others.
You may experience a deepening of certain responsibilities as it approaches July 20; the planet moves slowly in the sky before the turn into forward motion, so our commitments and obligations may feel even greater. Stay alert to anything that smacks of fear or holds you back. This may not be the time to force yourself through it, but you can observe how it hinders your growth. Uranus goes retrograde on July 21. Uranus symbolizes the unexpected, inspiration, revolution and need for freedom. Uranus retrograde causes more shocks, because we can’t see what’s bubbling under the surface until it erupts. When retrograde, a planet actually seems to retrace its steps and for Uranus, this means the past several months. It will be retrograde until December 21, so you may experience a sudden move, revelation or upset during this time, especially if you’ve planets in Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn. Keep in mind that Uranus is known as the Awakener. Whatever happens, face it with eyes and heart wide open for the best results.
Pluto retrograde through late September: More underground activity will be plumbed, explored and eventually exposed. If someone or something pulls strings on your fate, the next several months may bring the problem to closer revelation.
Mix it up! With Saturn and Pluto retrograde, the metaphor encourages us to check the plumbing and foundation. These two planets are in “mutual reception” which means that Saturn is now in Scorpio (the sign which emulates the vibration of Pluto) and Pluto is in Capricorn (Saturn’s natural sign). This ramps up one’s ability to recognize a need for structural changes after a profound transformation or loss; to return to the status quo is not an option, no matter how comfortable or well-worn the groove. When resistance or fear paralyzes us from a move we know must be made, then we are bound to the past and blind to the future. Full engagement with the present is the antidote. To do this requires vigilant awareness of our unconscious habits. To repeat past patterns is to sleepwalk through life. It is time for clear-eyed acceptance of mortality. Only then do we have freedom to fly to truly new experiences because we know, it’s now or never.
