The Libra Full Moon occurs at 8:06 a.m. ET.
It is also a Lunar Eclipse, so egos are prickly; a respectful approach is the best defense. The intended goal is to connect in a supportive manner and honor each other’s individuality.
The Libra Moon encourages partnership and compromise. It is lit by the Aries Sun which shines on self-assertion.
Since the planet Uranus is in line with the Sun, the need for independence and to do things “my way” may be greater than ever. This magnifies the need to be true to oneself, but also to allow individual expression within relationship.
The Sabian Symbol** for the Aries Sun is: “An Indian Weaving A Ceremonial Blanket”. This is an image that conjures focus and respect for spiritual tradition. Therefore the past may have a strong influence on you now, especially since Pluto in Capricorn makes a 90° picture (square) to the Full Moon.
This Lunar Eclipse is arguably the last volatile configuration involved in the Uranus/Pluto square. Eclipses tend to trigger things, so pay attention to what presents itself to you over the next few days. Reactions and subliminal responses tend to be the teachers during a Lunar Eclipse.
Pluto symbolizes irrevocable transformation and in Capricorn; this is particularly relevant to institutions that have outworn their usefulness in an evolutionary context. You might find a thread to connect you with a ritual or ceremony that calls to you.
When you add your unique voice to a larger story, it strengthens your resolve. This doesn’t have to be in a religious context, but it does ask that you give thought to the meaning of your actions. In the symbol, the “indian” is one person, yet the act of ceremony is conversation with the Divine.
Full Moons culminate energy, so whatever has felt important to push and make happen is up for evaluation now. It is time to integrate the needs or responsibilities to the other with the desire to create a new path.
The Sabian Symbol** for the Libra Moon is: “Circular Paths”. The moon itself travels in an orbit, (although it is not a perfect circle). It does in essence repeat its path every 28 days.
But the circle is never the same; orientation to the Earth and other planets changes among other things. Since this Sabian Symbol** is in the sign of Libra, it reminds us that relating is a circular motion.
When we relate in a respectful, holistic manner, we come to an agreement to acknowledge, share, commit- whatever the frame of the relationship may be. Then the path within that relationship must be circular: listening, exchanging, modifying, adjusting.
Relating is not linear. To integrate this Libra mandate with the Aries component, as an individual evolves, he or she must check in to see if the relationship grows as well.
The relationship must accommodate the individuals. Each partner must value the contract of the relationship, whether it’s work, personal or romantic.
