I’m posting some thoughts I wrote on Facebook about this video, because it seems to me to be such a powerful message as we approach the end of the Mayan calendar. Initially I received it from my colleague, Jenni Stone. I shared it and my FB friends wondered how AARP got it. AARP created a contest appealing to youth to express their generation… and this was the winner.

what captured me when I saw this was the memory of my Nana shaking her head about how it was no longer fun or had any promise to be young anymore… (I do agree her clothes were more fun in the ’20s than mine in the 70s)

youth always holds the torch… and we truly “get old” when we lose our delight in today and zeal for tomorrow. Stick through it… because it’s worth it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42E2fAWM6rA
