Marianne Williamson threw her hat in the ring several months ago to be a candidate for U.S House of Representatives for California’s District 33. Yet she would run against the popular Henry Waxman which seemed to be counterproductive. A progressive person already in place did not seem the most fertile place for her message. Yet today Waxman has declared that he will not run. He finds the battles with the Tea Party futile and prefers to find a more productive use of his time.
This leaves Marianne Williamson in a much more interesting race. Unless a candidate equal to Waxman’s popularity steps up, her chances suddenly look a lot better? Perhaps what this Congress needs is indeed a Return to Love.
