I drove home from Woodstock last night after a presentation there at Sage Healing Arts. It was frosty and dark and flurries began just as I came close to home. Now, appropriately for the Mars retrograde station, I am cozy at home. My black cat at the window presents a dramatic silhouette framed by a white landscape. Please be sure to read my Mars retrograde post – I’ve adjusted it from the original post.
Now I have to put on my gear and shovel out the car, but it’ll be fun with my 12-year old. My big question of the day will be whether or not I drive to Wainwright House for the Solstice celebration. Let me know how the Mars station may have shown up for you… and remember, watch your anger barometer and choose your battles.
Today, I pushed myself out of the house to NYC with my daughter to visit the NewAmsterdam Food Market down on Fulton Street. We enjoyed the day sampling all sorts of great food.
I took the phrases that jazzed me from the Slow Food job description and tweaked them to become my intention/ mission statement for 2010.
Based on what I’m reading, Mars is going to slow things down a bit, I’ll make sure to keep that in mind if my spirit starts to sink this winter.
I’m enjoying your posts, they are very helpful/ insightful. Keep up the great work!

yes, Mars retrograde slows things down… think “simmer”… since it’s in Leo it is transiting your 6th house so definitely keep pushing yourself out of the house to exercise your body… walking in NYC is great, yoga, stick with gentle yet effective movements… this is not the time to push yourself extremely, but it is a time to keep moving!
Leo is the sign of the child, so there may be some inspired thoughts bubbling up on how to work with children… maybe how seemingly disparate flavors can come together and make something that tastes wonderful…. what feels creative and playful.
I think this may be a very fertile Mars retro for you… when you think about it, “slow-cooking” is a very Mars retro topic….
