The Scorpio Full Moon at 2°31” occurs at 1:24 AM ET.

This Full Moon presides over Earth Day with significance: the Moon is lit by the Taurus Sun. Taurus is the sign of the Bull. It represents the tactile, patience and attachment. The Scorpio Full Moon symbolizes what in the material world are you ready to transform to embrace a deeper connection to yourself.

Both signs, Taurus and Scorpio are persistent and focused. In order to manifest the full potential of integrating the power of this Full Moon, it is essential to speak your truth.

Write down what you intend to bring about, either today or over the next couple of weeks, months or year. Say it aloud, either to yourself or someone you trust. Mixed signals or a wariness to declare what’s important to you may lead to diminished results.

cloverThe Sabian Symbol for this degree of the Taurus Sun is “Natural Steps Lead To A Lawn Of Clover In Bloom”. A perfect symbol for a verdant spring, it also reminds us of the benefits of a pesticide-free lawn.

When I first moved to the suburbs from NYC, I was horrified to realize that the bucolic courtyard of my apartment complex was assaulted by pesticide spray that spring. The gardeners planted warning signs to notify us that we couldn’t walk on the lawn for days. I quickly started a petition/complaint because one of the things that had attracted me to the place was its park-like ambiance. Old people rested in lawn chairs while children ran and learned to bike. It made no sense to me that our shared lawn should be like a golf course. I easily amassed signatures of solidarity.

So now the grounds where I live are covered with clover, dandelion, wild violets and chickweed. It’s still mowed of course. The steps I took to create the change was “natural” to me and enough of my new neighbors agreed.

Aside from my personal story, the connection to this symbol is to remember that the Sun is what lights up the Moon— consciousness helps us know how we really feel about something. In my story, it took someone new to enter the frame of routine to question— “is this what you really want?” This Full Moon, observe what might be a habit that could use reevaluation.

This Scorpio Moon’s Sabian Symbol is “A House-Raising Party In A Small Village Enlists The Neighbors’ Cooperation”. This symbol drives home my point about “raising awareness” to gain momentum.

Yours may be a project exclusive to you, requiring none but your own steam. Or it may benefit from including others to get the thing off the ground or built in a timely fashion. Again, what may need to be highlighted or emphasized in order to capture the imagination or heart of another?

There is a degree of vulnerability in this offer— in order to get a house built in a small village, one must be willing to admit need. The other consideration is that one must be ready to respond in kind if capable.

Not everyone can match a donation with the same action in return. An elderly or disabled neighbor may not be able to help raise another’s house. But a smile of thanks and a cooperative village can be worth several days of effort.

Since it is Earth Day, we can see many ways this Full Moon encourages community connection.

A Venus/Uranus picture in the sky may create strange bedfellows as seemingly disparate individuals find a patch of common ground. Don’t make any commitments that you don’t both understand dimensionally or you may find you have to backpedal.

Some kind of compromise is most likely possible, but only if you’ve time to fully explore the conversation.
