fullmoonnasaForecast 9/8

Full Moons offer opportunities to complete tasks or fulfill goals. More importantly, they present us with a chance to integrate seemingly opposite parts of our lives and move into greater wholeness. A Pisces Full Moon may allow you to see how your work or routine fills a spiritual or creative need. It may also point out that there is no alignment, leaving you with a decision to either change your job or routine or look for ways to better balance your life.

Many people do not feel as though their job can spiritually or creatively engage them, but that doesn’t mean that fulfillment can’t come from a volunteer or other consistent routine. In its positive integration, this Full Moon encourages inspired visions for mundane efforts, so that work, exercise and health reflects the absolute beauty of our daily bread.

This particular day stirs up many challenges; don’t forget meditation, prayer and compassion. Communications with neighbors or siblings may not be at their best, but this too will pass. Direct application is rewarded as is an unflinching attention to details. Do not get overwhelmed; make choices to make progress. Activities begun or attended to at this time have excellent chances for success.

The Pisces Full Moon occurs at 9:38 p.m. ET.

volcanoThe Sabian Symbol** for the Sun is “A volcano in eruption”. This is a rather unsettling image especially when the actual horoscope is considered. There is a configuration involving Uranus in the Full Moon horoscope. Uranus is the planet that symbolizes sudden occurrences, so it is possible that we might witness a natural phenomena around this time. Since this is a Virgo Sun, there is a quality of healing to it.

Whatever upsets may occur, it erupts to rectify. In your personal life, you may step into a situation that demands you to act decisively. This is not necessarily about a logical consequence, but it is about a spiritual necessity. If you feel anger or frustration, harness it to action. This guarantees forward movement.

easter paradeThe Sabian Symbol** for the degree of the Moon is “An Easter promenade.” This image is almost in direct opposition to the time of year it occurs, which magnifies the Full Moon’s mandate for integration.

Here we are on the threshold of autumn and yet we’re presented with an image that conjures spring. It supports the spiritual and fertile promise of the Pisces energy. When we do the work, the rewards follow. The mystery of the opposition is that when you believe in the rewards, you find them in the minutiae of the routine. In other words, when we do our work with a sense of purpose, it supplies the sense of fulfillment.

If you find yourself in a particularly tough job situation, health crisis or need to switch your routine, let this Full Moon give you the push you may need to change perspective. Invite the push rather than be surprised by an eruption.

It might be time to choose a change in your routine and make a vow to stick to it. Whatever you may have started at the Virgo New Moon is up for a review. If it’s not in the right flow, now is the time to make an adjustment.

** We are still in the process of understanding the Sabian symbols, which were channeled in 1925. The spiritualist astrologer Marc Edmund Jones, took Elsie Wheeler, a clairvoyant confined to a wheelchair to a San Diego park with a project. He put a symbol for each of the 360° of the zodiacal wheel on 360 cards. She proceeded to come up with visual phrases for each one of them. They were done in random order and they have a magic that is hard to decipher, yet feels totally right.
