To Vote as an Act of Love

Voting as a right and a privilege becomes exponentially effective when delivered as an act of love.

This Election Day is particularly charged with Venus Retrograde – what do we value and why? What do we really value and why? As I write this, the races have become very intense. Anxiety and fear swell in conversations. It’s time for a pendulum swing — embrace environments of loving kindness. The United States approaches it’s Pluto Return in the next few years but we already feel it. As the revolution hits boiling point, what existing system no longer serves the people? And who are the revolutionaries?

If you consider yourself a revolutionary, fill yourself with love when you vote. There is no more powerful force than Love. Those who fear the revolution find it difficult to relax into love. Deep polarization seems inescapable in the United States. The path of the summer of 2017’s Great American Eclipse tracked from Oregon to South Carolina. The eclipse seemed to divide the States; it synchronistically occurred as the inherent differences of demographics, values and lifestyles come to a head.

If you are comfortable with the status quo, fill yourself with love when you vote. When we make decisions from love it affects the outcome in beneficial ways. Those who fear the status quo usually are not a part of it, or can no longer sustain it if they are. The only way to cross this divide is through love.

The United States and its Constitution were forged by men who struggled with their grand concept at odds with dependence on slave commerce. They overlooked the colonization which had usurped land from its indigenous inhabitants. The words “all men are created equal” did not align with the reality of their united states. We are now at the point of reckoning.

In 1870 with the 15th amendment, states could no longer choose to deny a citizen the right to vote based on “race, color or previous condition of servitude”. In 1920, they could not deny the vote based on sex. And in 1971, because of student activism in protest to the Vietnam War, the voting age was changed from 21 to 18.

Election Day 2018 occurs on the dark of moon prior to the New Moon in Scorpio on November 7. Use this fecund time to savor your vote. Life is not pre-determined. You come into this life with a birth chart that maps out a potential. Every choice you make colors and determines that potential. The planet Uranus dips back into Aries before the polls close, so expect a sudden upset to occur.

Youth will have a huge impact on this Election and all that go on during this revolutionary time. When their voices intermingle with their elders, the resonance will be astounding.

Wishing you a restful and reflective day. Remember, your breath controls how we react to our emotions. A slow, even paced breath calms down and reconnects. A vote is a sacred act when done with intention. Every vote matters, especially when done with focused intention. Use this gathering New Moon energy to infuse your vote — and if you don’t have the ability to vote, you still can use this energetic momentum for clarity of focus. Maximize New Moon manifestation energy….

An older post goes into the profundity of this dark of moon in Scorpio time.
