This is the day of the Virgo Full Moon.

The Moon enters Virgo at 6:24 AM ET and begins its journey towards the midday Full Moon. This is a terrific time to finish up tasks, reach out for allies and go full steam on projects.

The Virgo Moon presents options for healing wounds and offering service as well as what functions best in daily routines. Those who have a health regimen in place may tweak it or see real results from its application.

If you’ve been contemplating a new exercise, diet or health routine, get it in motion this morning, whether to contact a health coach, trainer or join a class. The Virgo Full Moon occurs at 1:20 PM ET.

It’s point is 3° Virgo 34” and when the Pisces Sun shines its full light on the Virgo Moon, we have an opportunity to integrate our spiritual life into our daily world. This may not sound as action-oriented as some of the other full moon directives, but it has tremendous weight on your routine. How many of us get into a hamster-wheel existence, where we put one foot in front of the other or race through a day of obligations?

This is a moment to evaluate how you find the spiritual center in your mundane life. It is truly what can transcend the moment, any moment, into a prayer and/or the sacred. When we have that ability, if for a moment each day, we live with more Grace.

I offer this quote, by one of my favorite teachers:

tea“If while washing dishes, we think only of the cup of tea that awaits us, thus hurrying to get the dishes out of the way as if they were a nuisance, then we are not “washing the dishes to wash the dishes.” What’s more, we are not alive during the time we are washing the dishes. In fact we are completely incapable of realizing the miracle of life while standing at the sink. If we can’t wash the dishes, the chances are we won’t be able to drink our tea either. While drinking the cup of tea, we will only be thinking of other things, barely aware of the cup in our hands. Thus we are sucked away into the future -and we are incapable of actually living one minute of life.”

trafficThe Sabian Symbol of the Pisces Sun “Heavy Car Traffic On A Narrow Isthmus Linking Two Seashore Resorts”. This symbol is a metaphor for the bridge of consciousness that guides us through the waters of the unconscious. When the traffic becomes too heavy, we may be so caught up in the action of where we are going that we are not present as to where we are.

If you find yourself in overload, with too many things going on at once or demands that narrow your options, it’s time to look for refreshment. There is no detour, nor shoulder to park; you have to keep your eyes on the road. It might be time for some music that lifts the spirit. Be sure to glance at the water and the horizon.

The symbol is about driving, but this applies to any situation in your life where the promise of the destination sharply contrasts to the unsatisfactory “here and now”.

Since the ideal is to appreciate the journey with the same awareness as the goal, then what today can you employ to transcend the tedious?

children playingThe Sabian Symbol of the Virgo Moon “Black And White Children Play Together Happily”.

This symbol points to the essence of ideal integration of a Full Moon. There are 12 signs in astrology, which distills to 6 polarities. At a Full Moon, we face what appears to be the opposite but is actually a mirror.

In other words, duality is an illusion and the Full Moon returns every month to guide us into wholeness. The symbol could simply be: Children play together happily but the description of race is the reminder of integration. Society creates the illusion that black and white are polarities. One cannot exist without the other.

The Virgo Moon absorbs the spiritual transcendence and creative resonance of the Pisces Sun to carve a harmonious routine. If your routine feels like a daily grind, then lift your spirit.

Allow yourself to feel the mystical. If you are at a loss as to how to bring this about, then see where you might find some play. Invite someone into the sandbox.

In other words, if you’ve had your eye on one goal, you may be missing the fun and experimentation along the way.

Action taken on this Full Moon day has great potential to pick up momentum and run.
