If there is someone you’ve had difficulty communicating with, you might want to change your tactic. Sometimes simply meeting the person in a neutral or new environment may be enough to stimulate conversation. If you have a lot of fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) you might burn too brightly; be aware of your audience when you want to light up the room. The potential to thaw resistance is possible.
